January update

The new shifter arrived...Used a B&M Camaro / Firebird shifter

Is this thing going to fit??

Here I am doing a test fit...

A bit of silicone...

Perfect fit... since I used late model Trans Am seats the shifter does come a bit close to the drivers seat...

Well, that's done

Here is my honey helping me with the oil...

OUCH!!!

I know... Total mess in the garage...

I originally had the fuel pressure regulator mounted on my heater core box but thought it was a bad idea having it directly on top of the headers

Since taking this shot I had to once again relocate the fuel pressure regulator since the hose neck in the picture was not going to work. There was no way I could use this neck and the alternator on the drivers... no way to run the upper radiator hose. I used a swivel water neck and had to mount the fuel pressure to a manifold bolt

Not sure what I was doing in this one....

Steering shaft is done... fits nice inside the headers

New gauges are in... just need to wire them

Here is the finished shot of covering the original shifter opening.

Here is a shot of the new opening... this gives you a good idea of the distance difference between using a camaro WCT5 and not an S10 trans

Modifications are also needed to your heater core... after taking measurements I cut the area out and used a piece of tin to cover it up.

Here I am trimming the piece...

Almost done but this gives you a good idea of what it will look like...

Well, that's it for now....
