I will update the blog as much as possible during the build. From the day I drove the truck from the dealer with 6 miles on the odometer, it has always been my dream to stuff a v8 between its frame rails. Fast forward 13 years and I'm just getting started... For some reason I just can't get rid of her... maybe its because it was my first new purchase. Who knows... all I can say is that I'm supper excited and can't wait to get her rolling down the road.
Chevy 350 - Mild cam ... getting ready to install the water pump.
New pump installed
Decided to use a serpentine setup as I think it looks much better than the typical set-up. I was able to pull the set-up from a 4.3L and it fit perfectly on the 350.
For some crazy reason I'm thinking about using a Trans Am air unit on the motor. Not sure how it would look and if it would even work without making some modifications. For some insane reason I'm still in love with 2nd gen T/A's and thought this might look good.
Well, after putting her in the shop... it was time to start the transformation....
First to come off was the grille....
Bumper.....
Hood and fenders were next on the list....
Starting to look better every minute....
Next off was the fender wells....
Finally I removed the radiator core support...
Well.. that's it for today... more later.... Next? Motor and tranny will be removed...
None of this would have been possible without my "master mechanic" Tucker!!
